[Preterite] Traté de explicar la situación, pero no me escucharon. → I tried to explain the situation, but they didn't listen to me.

[Preterite Anterior] Apenas hubo tratado de levantarse, se cayó. → As soon as he had tried to get up, he fell.

[Future] Trataré de llegar a tiempo a la cita. → I will try to arrive on time for the appointment.

[Future Perfect] Para mañana habré tratado todos los puntos del orden del día. → By tomorrow I will have treated (covered) all the items on the agenda.

[Conditional] Trataría de ayudarte si supiera cómo. → I would try to help you if I knew how.
