[Present Indicative] Parto la leña para la chimenea. → I split the wood for the fireplace.
[Present Perfect] He partido el pastel en trozos iguales. → I have divided the cake into equal pieces.
[Imperfect Indicative] Partía hacia la capital cada lunes. → He used to leave for the capital every Monday.
[Pluperfect Indicative] Ya había partido el avión cuando llegamos. → The plane had already left when we arrived.
[Preterite] Partí la cuerda con un cuchillo. → I cut (split) the rope with a knife.
[Preterite Anterior] Apenas hubo partido el correo, recordé la carta. → As soon as the mail had left, I remembered the letter.
