Usage Examples
[Present Indicative] Mi madre me riñe cuando llego tarde. → My mother scolds me when I arrive late.
[Present Perfect] Ellos han reñido por una tontería. → They have quarreled over something silly.
[Imperfect Indicative] Los hermanos reñían constantemente de niños. → The brothers used to quarrel constantly as children.
[Pluperfect Indicative] Ya habían reñido varias veces antes de la cena. → They had already quarreled several times before dinner.
[Preterite] El profesor riñó al alumno por no hacer los deberes. → The teacher scolded the student for not doing the homework.
[Preterite Anterior] Apenas hubo reñido con su socio, se marchó de la oficina. → As soon as he had quarreled with his partner, he left the office.
