Usage Examples
[Present Indicative] Te pillo siempre mintiendo. → I always catch you lying.
[Present Perfect] Me ha pillado el toro con el trabajo. → The "bull" has caught me with work (I'm running late/behind).
[Imperfect Indicative] El profesor siempre nos pillaba hablando. → The teacher always used to catch us talking.
[Pluperfect Indicative] Ya lo habían pillado robando antes. → They had already caught him stealing before.
[Preterite] Pillé un resfriado terrible el invierno pasado. → I caught a terrible cold last winter.
[Preterite Anterior] Apenas hubo pillado el chiste, se rió. → As soon as he had caught (got) the joke, he laughed.
[Future] Si no corres, te pillará la lluvia. → If you don't run, the rain will catch you.
[Future Perfect] Para cuando vuelvas, ya habré pillado el truco. → By the time you return, I will have already caught on to the trick.
