[Present Indicative] Afirmo con rotundidad que soy inocente. → I assert emphatically that I am innocent.

[Present Perfect] El testigo ha afirmado que vio el accidente. → The witness has affirmed that he saw the accident.

[Imperfect Indicative] Ella afirmaba conocer el secreto de la eterna juventud. → She used to claim (assert) she knew the secret of eternal youth.

[Pluperfect Indicative] Ya habían afirmado su compromiso ante el público. → They had already asserted their commitment before the public.

[Preterite] El experto afirmó que la obra era auténtica. → The expert affirmed that the work was authentic.

[Preterite Anterior] Apenas hubo afirmado su postura, se marchó. → As soon as he had asserted his position, he left.

[Future] Afirmaré mi decisión ante el tribunal. → I will affirm my decision before the court.

[Future Perfect] Para mañana habrán afirmado los cargos contra él. → By tomorrow they will have affirmed the charges against him.

[Conditional] Afirmaría lo mismo en cualquier circunstancia. → I would assert the same in any circumstance.
